About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Compassion, Empathy Description: Emergency Department consists of 30 physical beds and 8 hall beds. The unit is supported by a team of 77 staff members. Day Shift staffing includes a charge nurse, 7 RNs, and 1 paramedic or LVN. Patient-to-staff ratios are 1:4. Typical equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, GE Monitors, Ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, portable EKG machines, and EMR - Meditech. Candidates must have compassion and empathy to be considered for this role. The unit performs typical procedures such as NIH, IV/blood draws, moderate sedation, and cardiac monitoring. A team player is the best personality fit for this unit. Every other weekend commitment is required.
