Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Cyber Class Action Attorney in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement and is open to applicants from across the United States, with potential reporting to other regional offices. Responsibilities Defend privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions in state and federal courts nationwide. Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. Manage strategy and timelines for multiple class action cases. Prepare and respond to written discovery, and take and defend depositions. Participate in mediations for class action settlements and draft settlement papers for court approval. Qualifications 8+ years of complex litigation experience in state and federal courts. Class action litigation experience is required. Cybersecurity and data privacy background is preferred but not essential. Excellent research and writing skills, including drafting briefs and dispositive motions. Experience defending in data breach and other privacy class actions is a plus. Working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure. Highly organized and able to meet deadlines in multiple cases. Team player. JD from an accredited law school is required. Skills Excellent oral communication skills. Strong organizational abilities.
