Encompass Community Supports,  formerly known as Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services (RRCS) is hiring  a Clinical Supervisor.

At  Encompass Community Supports,  our full-time employees work 37.5 hours weekly.

Our Clinical Supervisor - Behavioral Health oversees and manages forensic services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Clinical Director. Supervision is exercised over program personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and maintains administrative and clinical files and reports, documenting to meet clinical auditing standards. Ensures compliance with clinical standards for licensing, contracts, and accreditation
  • Participates in clinical, administrative and supervisory meetings; collaborates with other staff members concerning cases.
  • Ensures relevant staff are following all relevant procedures and protocols.
  • Provides clinical oversight for varied behavioral health programs
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders, other treatment team members, referral sources, and other community resources with client consent. Maintain communication with these sources to ensure appropriate service delivery.
  • Provides day-to-day clinical supervision of all program staff
  • Provides orientation, regular and ongoing training and direction to staff on program and agency operations, policy and procedures.
  • Covers other management duties in the absence of Clinical Director or other Clinical Supervisors.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides supervision for student interns and licensing clinical supervision to clinicians eligible for licensing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of the Virginia civil commitment process; through knowledge of mental health delivery systems including inquiry/access systems, counseling, case management and emergency services; thorough knowledge of evidenced counseling techniques of individual, marital, family, group and crisis intervention; thorough knowledge of DSM format diagnostic reporting; ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written form; ability to prepare and maintain program records and files; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, service providers, clients and the general public; knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.

Communication – Shares and receives information using clear oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. People Management - Leads and engages people to maximize organizational and individual performance through alignment with RRCS’s mission and attainment of strategic and operational goals. Delegation – Possess the ability to assign work based on skills, performance objectives, and development opportunities. Conflict/Mediation – Demonstrates managerial courage by addressing conflicts promptly using focused listening and behavioral feedback. Job Mastery and Continuous Learning - As a supervisor you must demonstrate the responsibility for one’s own career path and continues learning by identifying and applying new skills as needed to perform the job. Applicability – Ability to apply background, technical knowledge, education, and job experience to job situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Current professional licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LSATP required.
  • Certification as Crisis Intervention Specialist (Prescreener) by the Department of Behavioral Health and Disability Services (DBHDS) preferred.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This work requires little or no physical effort or exertion. Working conditions are good; may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements and accidents are improbable other than minor injuries; health hazards are negligible; some mental effort and stress involved resulting in inconvenience and frustration.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Virginia driver’s license; completed LMHP clinical supervisor training, attends training and maintains certifications as required by the Agency and regulatory guidelines.
