Registered Nurse Endoscopy

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy. The nurse will provide care in a procedural area that includes diagnostic colonoscopies, EGD, sigmoidoscopy, capsule endoscopy, EBUS/bronchoscopy, and endoscopic stent placement. The nurse will be required to manage intra-procedural care for both outpatients and inpatients. The unit has three rooms and may require moving to the operating room for advanced cases. Call is a requirement, averaging one day a week and one weekend a month. Holiday call coverage may also be needed. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary support, including interpretation services and pharmacy. This role includes handling a daily census and patient care for adults and geriatrics. Attendance policies allow up to three absences during the contract. Excessive tardiness or no call/no show may lead to contract review. This position requires responsiveness to compliance deadlines. Modules for ongoing training will form part of the responsibilities.
