Mechatronics & Robotics TechnicianThe Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated material handling systems, including conveyors and robotics, within a large, high-speed distribution facility. This role focuses on predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability.ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (MHE), including conveyorsPerform preventive maintenance (PM) routines and complete required documentationConduct battery changes and preventative maintenance on battery systemsAccurately enter downtime data and complete daily logs and PM sheetsManage and complete work orders within a CMMS systemTroubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causesUtilize basic electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair componentsTrack and maintain department inventory, including spare partsEssential Skills2+ years of experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance2+ years of experience repairing MHE or automated conveyor systems2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards1+ year of troubleshooting and diagnostics experience on MHE systems1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office productsHigh School Diploma or GEDShifts Available6:00am - 4:30pm, Sunday - Wednesday6:00am - 4:30pm, Wednesday - Saturday5:00pm - 3:30am, Sunday - Wednesday5:00pm - 3:30pm, Wednesday - SaturdayWork EnvironmentThe role is based in a large, highly automated facility of approximately 70,000 square feet, featuring about 14 miles of conveyors and a rapidly expanding fleet of robots, growing from around 30 units to hundreds. The environment centers on high-speed material handling, automation, and robotic systems, supported by pneumatic equipment and advanced control systems.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $67600.00 - $88712.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
