Quality Technician

JOB TITLE: QUALITY TECHNICIAN - Manheim & Elizabethtown Non-Exempt Position REPORTS TO: Quality Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Quality BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for receipt, in-process, and final inspection of materials, assemblies, and products. GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform inspection of materials and assemblies sourced from outside suppliers
- Perform inspection of in-process and finished products
- Perform inspection of welded joints of assemblies for conformance with applicable weld standards, blueprints, and work order specifications
- Document results of inspections
- Work with others within Quality Department and other departments as necessary to communicate and resolve nonconformances and other quality-related issues
- High School diploma or acceptable equivalent
- Vocational education in electromechanical technology or similar preferred
- Ability to operate various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
- CMM operation experience preferred
- 1-3 years of quality control experience or similar preferred
- 1-3 years welding inspection experience preferred
- Knowledge of AWS D14.0 preferred
- Mix of sitting/standing/walking 8 hours/day
- Occasional lifting up to 65 pounds
- Good eyesight, either natural or corrected
- Occasional stooping and squatting

- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to investigate and solve problems
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
- Conduct all interactions with customers, vendors, field sales representatives, and coworkers in a focused, positive, courteous, and respectful manner
