This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely. This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The contributions you will make as a pharmacist in this role will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliExecute day-to-day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines./liliEnsure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy./liliAssist in ensuring that the pharmacy is in compliance with all DEA policies and procedures as set forth by Omnicare or the regulatory agency, whichever is stricter./liliEnsure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all third-party payor contract rules and regulations by which the pharmacy is bound./liliSupervise the pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules./liliCheck for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders./liliCheck for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling./liliPreparation and/or supervision of all sterile IV drug products or solutions./liliAssist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs./liliProvide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled on-call rotation and as required by management./liliWorkflow grid is cleared daily Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA./liliOther duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location./li/ulpThis is a part time position. Schedule will be based on the needs of the business. Schedule will be between the hours of Monday-Friday 7am-12am and Saturday/Sunday 8am-6pm. There is no on-call requirement for this position./ph3Education/h3pBachelors Degree - Required/ph3Relevant Work Experience/h3p1 to 3 years - Required/ph3Minimum (Required) Qualifications/h3ulliBS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required/liliCurrent license in Pennsylvania to practice pharmacy in good standing/liliAbility to read, write, speak and understand English/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications:/h3ulliAt least two (2) years of long-term care experience/liliWest Virginia pharmacist licensure or willingness to become licensed in West Virginia/liliImmunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified/liliExcellent organizational and time management skills./liliExcellent interpersonal skills/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills/liliAbility to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities/liliAbility to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions./liliKnowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long term care centers/liliKnowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy/li/ulh3Physical Demands:/h3ulliMay sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
