Sub Bus Driver(s)

Position Summary: We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Substitute Bus Drivers to transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities. Substitute drivers will fill in as needed and must be flexible with scheduling. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes. Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain order and discipline on the bus. Follow all traffic laws and district transportation policies. Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly. Complete required reports and documentation accurately. Qualifications: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Chauffeurs license. Clean driving record, valid driver’s license. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. Meet the state physical examination requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage student behavior effectively. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Attained the age of 21 years old. Must demonstrate patience and compassion for students. Demonstrate the ability to work with others in a positive, productive way. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community while projecting a positive image that enhances the school district. Demonstrate the ability to keep confidentiality in regards to the Family Privacy Act. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to assist students on and off the bus when necessary. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Schedule: On-call/as-needed basis. Morning and afternoon route availability required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
