Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students across two welcoming districts just a short drive from each other. This role offers a chance to provide essential Occupational Therapy services to students from kindergarten through high school, with a primary focus on K-5th grades and occasional work with middle schoolers. Workdays run from 8:00am to 3:15pm, totaling 7.25 hours each day, and the assignment continues through early June.

Flexibility is key in this position. While the previous provider found success with two days per week in Hartford and two in Bangor, with the fifth day open for evaluations, paperwork, or additional services, there’s room to tailor the schedule to meet your preferred workflow and the needs of the schools. Both Bangor and Hartford campuses each comprise an elementary and a middle/high school, and the two are located just about 15 minutes apart.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Occupational Therapist license and eligibility in Michigan
• Experience or strong interest in school-based settings
• Comfort serving both elementary and occasional secondary students
• Ability to work independently and manage a split schedule
• Commitment to collaborative, student-centered practice
• Openness to supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) if needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services as outlined in IEPs
• Assess and document student needs and progress
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists
• Support both individual and group interventions
• Prioritize best practices and ethical care in all settings
