Hiring Material handlers Paying $19.50/hour In Decatur, IL

• Operate material handling equipment including stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, turret trucks, and man-up forklifts
• Perform daily warehouse tasks, which may vary based on business needs or remain consistent throughout assignment
• Accurately label inventory and ensure all items are properly tagged
• Count physical inventory manually on the warehouse floor
• Verify quantities and labels against system records and physical stock
• Use computers for basic data entry and inventory tracking
• Work from printed pick lists to verify parts and materials
• Maintain a safe working environment while operating equipment, including working at heights when required

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of forklift experience, with operation within the past 5 years
• Basic computer skills, including navigation and data entry
• Comfortable operating warehouse equipment, including stand-up/man-up forklifts at heights (harness use required)
• Ability to bend, twist, lift, and move throughout the facility
• Willingness to work required overtime, including extended hours and weekends

Reference Requirements

• Strong team collaboration and cooperation
• Proven attendance record in previous roles
• Demonstrated commitment to safety while operating forklifts

• Training conducted on day shift for 1–3 weeks (attendance during the first 30 days is mandatory)
• Typical work week: 50+ hours
• 10-hour workdays expected
• Overtime required, including 2–3 Saturdays per month
• Must be open to working up to 2 consecutive Saturdays
• Sunday work is voluntary
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to work all required overtime; this role is not suitable for individuals seeking limited hours
