Cardiac CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging at Acworth Health Park, supporting patient care within a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality while maintaining safety and dose protocols (ALARA). Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques as needed, and maintain infection control standards. Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety through proper identification and preparation. Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and promote comfort and safety throughout visits. Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply appropriate safety measures such as shielding and immobilization. Review, repeat, and finalize images, ensuring diagnostic quality and proper documentation in RIS/PACS systems. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment maintenance and restocking. Organize workflows efficiently, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum one year of radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
