Position: Cyber Security Engineer

Type C2H: 3 Month CTH

Location: Birmingham, AL Preferred (also open to Charlotte, NC / Nashville, TN / Atlanta, GA)

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr

DAY TO DAY:
• Support Application Security and Web/API Security initiatives within AWS.
• Enhance and maintain existing AWS security infrastructure already built by the team.
• Work heavily within Infrastructure as Code environments.
• Develop and maintain automation/scripting using Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
• Support API security tooling and firewall management within AWS.
• Work with AWS Graph and related cloud security tooling.
• Collaborate within GitHub and Copilot-driven development environments.
• Support load balancing initiatives once fully ramped into the team.
• Work across Unix/Linux based environments.
• Some development responsibilities tied to automation and security enhancements.

MUST HAVES:
• 4-5+ years of Cyber Security Engineering experience.
• Strong AWS expertise including AWS Firewall Manager and AWS Graph.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Python, and PowerShell within Infrastructure as Code environments.
• Experience with Application Security and/or Web/API Security.
• Unix/Linux administration experience.
• Experience working with GitHub and Copilot environments.
• Load balancing experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

PLUSSES:
• Experience with Alkemize/Alchimize API Security product.
• Financial services/banking experience.
• Networking background.
• AWS Certifications.
