Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer We are seeking a qualified Electrical Design Engineer to support the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. Work Location Aiken, SC Duties Prepare one‑line diagrams, load calculations, equipment connection details, cable schedules, and electrical specifications. Support design changes to distribution systems, motor feeders, lighting, grounding, UPS‑supported systems, and equipment power. Evaluate electrical impacts of new or modified process and facility equipment. Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection disciplines on integrated design changes. Support installation, testing, field verification, and as‑built updates. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience in electrical design for industrial facilities. Knowledge of power distribution and equipment interface design. Preferred Qualifications Experience with facility upgrades, equipment power modifications, and electrical support for process facilities. Familiarity with backup power or UPS‑supported systems. Other Job Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
