Aircraft Electrical TechnicianThe Aircraft Electrician will perform avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. These modifications include upgrades to the Radar Package, Communications, and Comm Sec equipment, among other possible upgrades.Responsibilities:Perform troubleshooting on avionics systems and electrical components.Install and repair fiber optic cables and harnesses.Conduct maintenance and modifications on F/A-18 aircraft, specifically focusing on electrical systems.Upgrade and modify radar and communication systems.Perform operational level maintenance on fighter jets, including F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet models.Essential Skills:Experience in avionics systems troubleshooting.Proficiency in fiber optic installation and maintenance.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.4 - 7 years of depot or heavy maintenance experience on aircraft electrical systems.F-18 experience highly preferred.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Navy Ratings of AE or AT are highly preferred.Experience with NAV - magic box is advantageous.Eligibility for SECRET clearance is required.Must be eligible for a Boeing badge, with no terminations on record.Why Work Here?Join a stable program that offers government holidays and the opportunity to support two of the most reputable government integrators in the world. The environment is mostly indoors but in a non-climate-controlled hangar. Be open to working either the 1st or 2nd shift.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
