Customer Account Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in downtown Columbus to hire a Customer Account Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and building positive customer relationships while helping resolve outstanding account balances. The Customer Account Specialist will work directly with both business and individual customers to review account activity, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances. We are looking for someone with a positive, upbeat personality and strong customer service skills who can navigate sensitive financial conversations professionally. Previous leadership, management, or team lead experience is highly preferred. Responsibilities: Communicate with business and individual customers regarding outstanding account balances and payment status Provide a positive, customer-focused experience while working toward timely account resolution Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies that may be delaying payment Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve billing or account issues and facilitate payment Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications, account activity, and follow-up efforts Manage multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail Qualifications: Previous customer service, account management, collections, accounts receivable, or related experience Strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat, professional, and customer-focused approach Previous management, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred Comfortable discussing outstanding balances and resolving account concerns with customers Strong problem-solving and account reconciliation skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite downtown Columbus environment Why Consider This Opportunity?
