This role will be located in Canberra, Australia.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesAdvise on enterprise sustainment strategy and governance alignmentIntegrate across divisions to resolve cross-boundary issues and prioritiesSupport transition execution, maintaining availability during authority consolidationAlign sustainment approaches with US/UK practices and nuclear standardsDefine decision frameworks and escalation pathways.Minimum QualificationsClient requirements: 15+ years in defence sustainment, nuclear enterprise, or complex system lifecycle managementDirect experience with US Navy SSN sustainment, preferably Virginia-class (VCS) or equivalent nuclear submarine programsDemonstrated experience at enterprise integration level (multiple organisations, authorities, or nations)Deep understanding of: Naval sustainment frameworks (NAVSEA, USN lifecycle constructs)Nuclear stewardship, certification, and assurance environmentsProven ability to operate at senior executive / flag-level advisory interfaceExperience defining governance models, decision frameworks, and escalation pathwaysAbility to operate in multi-national (US/UK/AUS) environmentsStrong communication skills across technical, operational, and executive audiencesCurrently based or willing to relocate to AustraliaMust have had an Active Secret Clearance (or above) within the last 24 months. 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant progressive experience.Preferred RequirementsPrior role within NAVSEA, PMS 450, PMS392, SD/PH/NORVA/Groton Waterfront Maintenance organizations or major US submarine program officePost-CDR Command or equivalentRepair Officer experienceExperience bridging US–UK nuclear sustainment modelsBackground in transition programs or stand-up of new sustainment enterprisesAdvanced degree in engineering, systems engineering, or national securityPrior US Navy, NAVSEA, Shipyard (Public or Private) or Submarine Industrial Base experienceExperience supporting enterprise transformation or sustainment modernisationBenefitsWe offer competitive benefits such as best-in-class medical, dental and vision plan choices; wellness resources; employee assistance programs; Savings Plan Options (401(k)); financial planning tools, life insurance; employee discounts; paid holidays and paid time off; tuition reimbursement; as well as early childhood and post-secondary education scholarships.
