Physical Therapist Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position is crucial in assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals, plans, and programs designed to meet patients' long-term objectives.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, and endurance training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics or assistive devices.
• Demonstrate therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and involve patients and their families in treatment education.
• Establish professional relationships with patients and staff, consulting with other healthcare disciplines as needed.
• Participate in team conferences and quality improvement projects.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and ensure proper equipment handling.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active applicable license for the State where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position offers a 5x8.0 schedule, with an average of 32-36 hours per week, with an optimal agreement to split between two clinics.
