Registered Nurse - Neuro Med-Surg Tele (Night Shift)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Neuro Med-Surg Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care for individuals with neurological conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Perform EKG monitoring and manage telemetry patients.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required.
- Experience in Neurology is required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- A valid Maryland or compact RN license must be obtained upon submission.
- Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias is required.
- 8 hours of Maryland-approved trauma education is required annually.
- TCRN certification is preferred.
