Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 3+ years of OR experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a 41-OR department at a Level 1 Trauma Center,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Day shift, 4x12 hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM, with occasional floats to 8:45 AM or 10:45 AM starts,
• Occasional floating to night shift, no more than 3 shifts per contract,
• Weekend coverage required as needed per unit needs,
• On-call required as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period,
• Floating required to other UCH operating rooms within scope,
• Cases include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery procedures,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required,
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• At least one completed travel assignment required,
• Experience circulating craniotomy cases,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, neurology, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during which RTO is not allowed,
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted,
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this during consideration,
• Resources who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before being rebooked,
• Local candidates may be considered within 75 miles of the facility
