Learn more at Role : We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Site Manager – Oncology. This position can be located remotely in the Western Region (WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, UT, AZ, MT, WY, CO, NM, ND, SD, NE) of the United States. Responsibilities Act as the primary local company contact for assigned sites for specific trials. Actively participate in site feasibility and/or Site Qualification Visits (SQVs). Attend or participate in investigator meetings as needed; prepare meeting materials and present as required. Execute activities within site initiation and start-up, site monitoring (including remote monitoring), site management, and site/study close-out according to SOPs, Work Instructions, and policies. Implement risk-based monitoring and ensure timely issue resolution. Ensure site staff are trained and training records are complete and accurate across all trial phases. Collaborate with Local Trial Manager (LTM) for site activation to speed up delivery. Contribute to site-level recruitment strategy and contingency planning with other functional areas. Ensure site study supplies are adequate and clinical drug supplies are properly used, stored, and inventoried. Arrange for appropriate destruction of clinical supplies as needed. Ensure data entry is completed and queries resolved within expected timelines; maintain data integrity and essential documents in relevant systems. Proactively report AEs/SAEs/PQCs within required timelines and document consistently with source data. Document trial-related activities, write visit reports, and communicate status to stakeholders per SOPs. Coordinate with LTM to document and communicate site/study progress and any issues to the trial central team. Attend team meetings and trainings; comply with training requirements; act as local expert in assigned protocols. Work with LTM to ensure CAPA is completed for QA site audits and quality issues; may oversee audit/inspection preparation for junior staff. Prepare trial sites for close-out and conduct final close-out visits; track costs at site level and manage payments if applicable. Establish and maintain relationships with investigators, trial coordinators, and other site staff; may participate in HA/IEC/IRB submissions as required. Provide coaching or mentorship to less experienced site managers and contribute to process improvement and trainings. Lead or participate in special initiatives as assigned; may assume additional responsibilities such as “Champion” or Subject Matter Expert. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related scientific discipline. Minimum 2 years of clinical trial monitoring experience. Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience. Experience with Phase II and Phase III Clinical Trials is preferred. Knowledge of the drug development process, including GCPs and FDA CFR, required. Strong working knowledge of GCPs, SOPs, local laws and regulations, and protocol-specific procedures. Strong computer skills in relevant software and clinical systems; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel up to 60% with overnight stays; valid U.S. driver's license with a good driving record. The anticipated base pay range for this position in the US is $92,000 - $148,000. The anticipated base pay range for the Bay Area is $106,000 - $170,000. This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus and other benefits per company policy. Benefits include a retirement plan (pension), a 401(k) plan, and paid time off as described in company policies.
