Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-26 week assignment. Weekend requirement: every other weekend (12-16 shifts per contract). Patient ratio: 1:5-6.

Highlights:

• Dynamic medical-surgical/telemetry unit with 43 beds and average daily census of 39 patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac patients
• Comprehensive skill utilization including IV insulin protocols, chest tubes, wound vac, PICC/central line management, blood product administration, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
• 24-hour orientation program with interdisciplinary support and rapid response team access
• Accepts first-time travelers with minimum 2 years of experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with medical-surgical and telemetry patient populations at 5-6 patient ratio
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, respiratory support equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula), wound care, feeding tube management, and isolation precautions
• Ability to float to other units as needed and participate in storm/hurricane preparedness teams
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays during contract period
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
