Senior Product Manager Payments Fort Mill, SC (Hybrid)
Position Summary
Experienced Senior Product Manager Payments responsible for roadmap execution, backlog management, requirements refinement, and Agile delivery of payment solutions. Acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring successful execution of payment initiatives while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Delivery & Execution
- Own roadmap execution, backlog prioritization, and release planning.
- Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers to ensure on-time delivery.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Partner with business, engineering, architecture, QA, and operations teams.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and product reviews.
- Provide regular communication on progress, risks, and delivery status.
Payments Domain Leadership
- Serve as the payments SME across card payments, ACH, RTP, FedNow, digital wallets, settlement, reconciliation, and fraud controls.
- Ensure solutions align with business needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support testing, UAT, release readiness, and production support.
- Drive Agile best practices and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Product Management/Product Owner experience.
- 5+ years of Payments domain experience.
- Strong experience with Agile delivery, backlog management, and roadmap execution.
- Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, and release tracking.
- Deep understanding of payment transaction lifecycles and payment operations.
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively drive execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking, fintech, payment processors, or enterprise payment platforms.
- SAFe, CSPO, PSPO, or similar Agile certification.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, NACHA, RTP, FedNow, and ISO 20022.
