This position is based in Lakewood, NJ. You must be able to commute daily!!
We are offering a $1000 bonus if you are hired and get your CDL by September
Join our team as a School Bus Driver and play a critical role in providing safe, reliable transportation for students. This position involves operating a school bus on assigned routes, supporting student safety, and maintaining a positive and professional environment. Drivers transport students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Paid training at $18/hour
Responsibilities:
Safely operate school buses and authorized vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations
Apply defensive driving techniques with a strong focus on safety
Follow traffic laws and school transportation regulations; navigate Monmouth & Ocean County areas
Transport students on scheduled routes with timely arrivals and departures
Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections (mechanical, safety equipment, cleanliness)
Assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs
Maintain a calm, friendly demeanor while managing student behavior
Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and emergency responders
Complete logs, reports, and safety documentation accurately and on time
Skills:
Valid CDL Class B license with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements preferred
Strong English communication skills; bilingual is a plus
Knowledge of driving safety protocols, basic vehicle maintenance, and child behavior management
Ability to work with children with patience, empathy, and strong childcare skills
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections
