Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary:The Quality Manger is responsible for establishing, implementing and directing quality assurance efforts to ensure components and other materials in finished goods and products conform to quality standards based on the requirements and expectations of the organization and customer.Essential Functions:Directly lead and manage functional quality organization on a day-to-day basis to meet all Aerospace AS9100 Quality Management System requirementsLead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) within Product Development/ New product Introduction Process by integrating organization, industry, and customer quality requirements into new design development projects using AS9145Effectively manages the supply base quality performance over the lifecycle (selection, qualification, management, monitoring and measurement. Ensure that the quality of purchased materials meets requirements and comply with applicable regulations. Establish a zero defect culture by leading the deployment and continuous improvement of based on AS9145Ensure the effectiveness of measurement and monitoring systems to achieve improvement in Site business key metrics and quality processes key metrics. Develop and implement a quality organizational structure capable of supporting the strategic initiatives and lead the efforts to integrate quality into development of short and long terms business plans. Establish proactive business impact, planning, budgeting, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources for quality function.Led effort to define and train employees on root-cause analysis and problem solving tools to identify effective corrective actions/process improvementsEstablish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product qualityAnalyze and resolve customer complaints and field reliability issues. Coordinate product and component failure analysis. Drive corrective action, and inspection of all program hardware to J-STD-001 and IPC610 and documentation and supplier quality improvementsMinimum Qualifications:2-5 years Quality assurance experience in the defense, space electronics or high end aerospace industry in either a management role or quality supervisor position; additional Automotive experience is a plus.Experience with advanced product quality planning in high reliability product development/ new product introductionExperience with DCMA, DLAEducation/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE-prefered, ME, MSc., Chem) from an accredited institutionEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
