Chief of Podiatric Surgery - Academic Medical Center

Boston Medical Center and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine are jointly recruiting an experienced podiatric surgeon to serve as Chief of the Division of Podiatric Surgery. We seek a highly motivated and academically committed individual with strong clinical credentials to lead this busy division and provide strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will have experience serving in a leadership role within a school of medicine and/or major teaching hospital. They will have broad experience in foot and ankle surgery, limb salvage, wound care, sports and work-related injuries, and other common foot and ankle disorders and will work in close collaboration with other clinical teams to provide multidisciplinary care.

The successful candidate will join a team of six podiatric surgeons and will place a high priority on the training and education of students, podiatric surgery residents, and fellows.

The Boston Medical Center Health System is an integrated academic health system that comprises three hospitals, Boston Medical Center (BMC), BMC Brighton, and BMC South. Boston Medical Center is a 511- bed medical center located in Boston's historic South End. Located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, BMC Brighton has been providing comprehensive, compassionate care for more than a century and is a teaching hospital for the medical school. BMC South is an acute-care hospital that offers emergency and specialty medical care to patients in Brockton, Mass., and communities along the Route 24 corridor south of Boston.

The salary range for this position is $253,483 - $401,057. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget. This hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Boston University conducts a background check on all final candidates for certain faculty and staff positions. The background check includes contacting the final candidate's current and previous employer(s) to ask whether, in the last seven years, there has been a substantiated finding of misconduct violating that employer's applicable sexual misconduct policies.
