Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Projected Start: July 20, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Critical Care/ICU setting serving adult and geriatric populations, including management of high-acuity diagnoses such as respiratory failure, stroke, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic and septic shock, GI bleeds, and post-operative disorders
• Operate and manage advanced critical care equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, central venous lines, CRRT (Prismaflex), intra-aortic balloon pumps, and continuous hemodynamic monitoring via SpaceLabs bedside systems
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythms, ABGs, and labs; manage critical care drips and titrations; assist physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR with clinical access for ICU patients
• Float as needed to CVICU, Critical Care Step-Down, and Med-Surg departments when critical care areas are fully staffed
• Communicate effectively with physicians via mobile communication platform and maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience (5 years preferred)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts, blood draws, NG tube placement, and ECG rhythm interpretation
• Completion of required online learning modules including Moderate Sedation/Analgesia, iStat, and glucometer certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-acuity ICU managing advanced skills such as CRRT, IABP, and arterial sheath pulls
• Background in SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU/Med-Surg settings
• Previous experience working in a teaching hospital environment alongside resident physicians
