Housekeeper / Laundry Assistant As a Housekeeper or Laundry Assistant you will help keep the care home clean and ensure high standards of household hygiene and residents’ personal laundry. You will be responsible for general domestic duties such as vacuuming, polishing tables and office surfaces, wiping armchairs and dining chairs, emptying bins and helping to run the laundry service. Responsibilities Maintain a clean and tidy care home environment. Perform domestic tasks such as vacuuming, polishing, wiping, and bin emptying. Assist with laundry operations and ensure residents’ garments are washed, dried and folded properly. Support housekeeping practices that meet health and safety standards. Qualifications Good standard of English and numeracy skills. Comfortable using digital technology for online training and record keeping. Self‑motivated and resilient, a team player willing to go the extra mile. Knowledge of COSHH and general health & safety (beneficial but not essential).
