Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department required. License: Must have active RN license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required. TNCC and CPI preferred. Must-Have: - Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department. - Availability to work every other weekend. - Ability to float if needed. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Patient ratios are typically 1:4. Candidates with teaching hospital experience are preferred. First-time applicants are accepted. The role requires certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Preferred certifications include TNCC and CPI. The team handles a variety of patient needs from neonates to geriatrics. The daily patient volume is approximately 120 visits. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as respiratory and social services. Candidates should have strong skills in emergency care and trauma management. Flexibility in scheduling is highly valued. Successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of emergency procedures and protocols. Experience managing acute and critical situations is essential.
