Material Handler/Chemical Operator – Carpentersville, IL
Our client is a global chemical manufacturer headquartered in Italy, and one of the world's largest producers of specialty chemicals, intermediates, and composites for industrial, transportation, construction, marine, medical, and food additive markets.
Responsibilities:
- Charge, process, and drum chemical products (MT-17, Vinyl Ester blends, Coatings, PEBB)
- Perform daily utility rounds, equipment checks, and basic troubleshooting
- Support shipping/receiving — load/unload trailers and bulk/packaged materials
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and scale verifications
- Handle environmental duties (waste drum pumping, solvent transfers, tank sticking)
- Prepare equipment/permits for maintenance and aid in training new team members
- Follow all safety protocols, participate in Safety Committee and PHA reviews
- Work overtime as needed and support special projects assigned by management
