BBSI is looking for a Business Development Manager to cover Salem, Oregon and surrounding communities .

Our focus is simple: help small business owners build stronger businesses.

We provide HR, payroll, risk management, insurance and recruiting solutions that allow business owners to spend less time dealing with the headaches of running a company and more time growing it.

THIS IS A TRUE HUNTER ROLE.

We want someone who enjoys the chase.

Someone who is comfortable:

• Walking into a business and introducing themselves
• Calling on small business owners throughout the Salem area
• Building relationships from scratch
• Prospecting, networking and asking for the business
• Creating referral partnerships in the local business community
• Finding the right prospects and turning them into long-term clients
• Getting out of the office and making things happen

You'll spend approximately 85% of your time in the field , meeting business owners, networking and developing new opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Generate and close new business
• Develop 20-30 strong referral partnerships
• Conduct 5+ business development meetings each week
• Build a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
• Consult with business owners to understand their challenges
• Present BBSI's solutions and demonstrate the value we bring
• Partner with the local BBSI team to close and onboard new clients
• Target and acquire approximately 2-3 new clients per month once fully ramped
• Become a well-known and trusted resource in the Salem business community

If you have experience selling PEO, payroll, HR services, commercial insurance, workers' compensation or other relationship-driven B2B services , we want to meet you.

3+ years of proven sales success and a track record of being a top performer required.

Salary and Other Compensation :

The starting salary for this position is between 85-105k plus commission. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate.

Paid Time Off : Accrued sick leave of 1 hour for every 40 hours of work, with maximum based on state or regional requirements; vacation accrues up to 80 hours in the first year, up to 120 hours in years 2-4, and up to 160 hours in the fifth year; 6 paid holidays annually, 4 paid volunteer days annually.
