Join the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center's 3 South Telemetry Unit as a Patient Care Technician (CNA)

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and support the nursing team in delivering safe, high-quality care.

SCHEDULE: 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays Required | Active Maryland CNA License Required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.

• Assist nursing staff with direct patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and supporting daily living activities.
• Collaborate with nurses, clinical coordinators, and nurse managers to implement patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Accurately document patient information and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Support clinical coordinators in coordinating patient care activities and managing workflow within the unit.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE:

• Current license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting, required.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills required.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

COMPENSATION:

• Pay Range: $17.68 - $24.76 per hour.
• Shift, Weekend, and Holiday Differential Pay Where Applicable.
