Avionics Technician at Acara Solutions Cape Canaveral, FL

Responsibilities Fabricate wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment systems for satellites and space system components for the International Space Station, Artemis, and Orion programs and commercial programs. Assemble satellite buses and subsystems, as well as other complex electromechanical projects. Measure, cut, solder, or crimp wire and contacts to fabricate a wire harness. Read instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists, to determine materials needed and the assembly sequence. Assemble cables, satellite buses, and electromechanical systems. Perform potting of connectors to protect from water/dust intrusion. Label and package cable harness assemblies for shipment. Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures. Treat all team members with respect and dignity, ensuring a continually developed and maintained collaborative culture. Perform other duties as assigned. Benefits Pay: $24-27/hr. Hours: 40 hours/week (1st Shift). Length: Temp to hire. Location: Onsite with client in Cape Canaveral, FL. Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of experience with avionics. Minimum of 3 years of experience with soldering (IPC 610 or JSTD001 certified). Preferred Skills & Qualifications Associate Degree. Electromechanical systems and assembly background. IPC J‑Std‑001 or IPC‑620 certification, NASA 8739.4 certified. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Sedentary work usually involves being stationary, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces. Computer work: daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
