To learn more about us, please visit our website: We have an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician to join the team at Parkstead Watertown at Thompson Park , one of United Group’s professionally managed multi-family apartment communities located in Watertown , NY . Maintenance + Technical Duties Completes maintenance work orders – as assigned Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials General maintenance experience includes painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc. Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation Planning + Oversight + Communication Assesses and prioritizes all work to be performed on assigned site Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern Ensures quality of work duties performed Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees Ability to work indoors and outdoors during various weather conditions. Frequently may be exposed to outdoor spaces, service areas, or other environments which will, by their nature, have variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects. Potential exposure to substances such as paints, cleaning agents, chemicals, etc. Job Type: Maintenance Technician; $20 per hour plus Bonus Program Work Hours: Full Time; Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Evening and weekend hours required as needed for emergency maintenance needs. Physical Requirements : standing, kneeling, lifting, carrying, painting. Required Education : High School Diploma; Required Experience : 1-2 years of experience in residential property maintenance is preferred. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems.
