Financial Data Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Financial Data Clerk to join our corporate office team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers, and able to think critically when reviewing financial information.

The Financial Data Clerk will be responsible for entering, reviewing, organizing, and verifying financial data from multiple sources. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should be able to identify discrepancies, recognize when information does not look correct, and take the necessary steps to research and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain financial data accurately within company systems and spreadsheets
• Transfer financial information from multiple reports, systems, and data sources
• Review transactions and financial records for accuracy and completeness
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, duplicate entries, or unusual transactions
• Compare and reconcile information between reports and systems
• Assist with maintaining accurate records within QuickBooks
• Organize financial documents and supporting documentation
• Review data before submission to ensure accuracy
• Follow established procedures while using critical thinking to identify potential errors
• Communicate discrepancies or concerns to management
• Assist the accounting and administrative teams with financial data projects
• Maintain confidentiality when handling company and financial information
• Complete assigned projects accurately and within established deadlines

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to recognize discrepancies and investigate potential errors
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• QuickBooks experience preferred, but training may be provided
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks without sacrificing accuracy
• Dependable, professional, and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a team

Ideal Candidate
