Division Chief - Epilepsy

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine invite applications for an accomplished neurologist to lead our Epilepsy Division as Division Chief in the Department of Neurology. The Division Chief will oversee a multidisciplinary team of epileptologists, advanced practice providers, EEG technologists, and research staff, and will be responsible for advancing clinical excellence, expanding research initiatives, and fostering educational programs in epilepsy and related disorders. Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and staff. Promote and support research initiatives in epilepsy, including clinical trials and translational research. Collaborate with institutional leadership to expand epilepsy services and outreach. Lead educational efforts for medical students, residents, fellows, and continuing medical education. BC/BE Epilepsy preferred. Clinical expertise in epilepsy. Interest in developing a focus area, e.g. in the surgical epilepsy program, intra-operative monitoring, continuous EEG monitoring, or outpatient epilepsy is encouraged. Experience with pharmacological and surgical management of epilepsy, video-EEG monitoring, intracranial monitoring and neurostimulation required. Experience in education of fellows, residents, medical students and EEG technologists Experience in clinical research Academic credentials meriting appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or full Professor Ability to acquire license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates Community: Excellent public schools with many ranking in the top 100 in the state.
