(USA) Member Team Lead

Overview Position Summary What you'll do: assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned areas of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches to ensure issues are resolved according to company guidelines. This includes compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching and evaluating associates; communicating and supporting membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members; processing memberships, upgrades and credit accounts; encouraging renewals; participating in sales and marketing events; completing and maintaining marketing recaps and other documentation; striving to meet membership goals and promoting the value of Sam's Club products and services. Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding self-service technology usage, assisting with transactions at registers or self-checkout, and ensuring club pickup orders are filled. Oversees the assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining availability of carts and equipment, assisting members with transporting items, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness. Completes accounting records and documents by following office procedures, handling cash operations, preparing deposits, and conducting accounting-related investigations as needed. Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information. Develops, communicates and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; analyzes information, monitors progress, identifies improvement opportunities, and addresses issues. Demonstrates and supports compliance with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, explaining and applying them in business processes, and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues. Supports "Open Door Policy" and related action plans. Leads and participates in teams by coordinating work, determining customer needs and business priorities, providing advice and feedback, and modeling adaptability to change. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications 6 months of retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) AND 6 months of customer service experience. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a front-end team, supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
