Senior Project Accountant

OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for our Healthcare Division in Lexington, KY. The Senior Accountant will manage the accounting for a mega‑project and/or multiple large projects, working independently and maintaining good rapport with project staff and the business group Accounting Manager and Controller. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and process subcontracts, subcontract change orders, and performance/payment bonds to ensure compliance with specified terms. Collect and review subcontractor/supplier lien waivers. Collect, review, and process subcontractor/supplier monthly project invoices, ensuring proper accrual to the correct cost reports and phase codes. Ensure proper payments to all subcontractors and major suppliers. Maintain a deep understanding of the Walsh cost report and related accounting functions. Understand the monthly P&L process, submit project P&Ls accurately and on time, and review them for accuracy. Process cost transfers on the project cost report for Project Management staff. Perform in‑depth monthly analysis of owner billing and produce owner billing independently when applicable. Submit monthly owner billings to the Accounting Manager or Controller for processing. Monitor cash flow and communicate with project staff regarding accounts receivable tracking and payment status. Work independently and manage the accounting operations for mega‑projects or multiple large projects. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business‑related field.
