Role Description This full-time, on-site Mortgage Loan Officer role is based in Miami, FL. The Mortgage Loan Officer will guide borrowers through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to closing, including collecting financial information, analyzing borrower eligibility, and recommending appropriate loan products. Daily responsibilities include originating mortgage applications, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements. The role also involves proactive customer service, maintaining ongoing communication with clients, real estate professionals, and internal stakeholders to provide timely updates and support. The Mortgage Loan Officer is expected to build and manage a pipeline of clients, meet production goals, and represent NEXA Lending in a professional and ethical manner. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer, with a track record of originating and managing mortgage loans. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including loan products, regulations, and investor guidelines. Understanding of Underwriting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with underwriting teams to resolve conditions. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and support clients throughout the loan process. Active or eligible Mortgage Loan Originator license (NMLS) as required by state and federal regulations. Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic financial analysis tools. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documentation. Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, and collaborate effectively with local team members and external partners.
