• 25 bed CAH RN for ICU/PCU -Nights must be experienced in all areas and willing to float to MSU as needed.
• WA license must be ACTIVE.
• 3+ years of experience

• Identifies patient's/significant others needs for patient education and provides education utilizing appropriate education modalities.
• Identifies and provides for patient safety through preventative measures (i.e., side rails, restraints, safe use of equipment, etc.) follows restraint policy correctly, evaluates and documents appropriately.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in the PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas.
• Is aware of troubleshooting techniques and follows procedures for repair of essential equipment and able to access equipment manuals.
• Able to care for patients with cardiac monitoring, complex medication regimens and all aspects of PCU level of care.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, co-workers and physicians.
• Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
• Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintains a good working relationship within the department and other departments.
• Documentation meets current standards and policies.
• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
• Effectively supervises and directs delegated functions of technical and ancillary personnel.
• Functions as a preceptor for new employees and students as assigned.
• Provides patient and family education as needed.
• Maintains and restocks emergency carts, room and general supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
