GEAR UP New Mexico Data CoordinatorThe LEA seeks a creative, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to serve as Local GEAR UP New Mexico (GUNM) Data Coordinator. The GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) Partnership is funded by the US Department of Education to increase the college-going rate of low-income secondary school students in LEA. GUNM offers various services and resources to help students and their families succeed throughout their college and career journey. This is a full-time, 10-month position, contingent upon external funding.Education/Training/Experience:AA degree in related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:Understanding of and experience with student information collection and analysis for federal grant reportingExperience with Student Information Systems (preferably Synergy)Experience with relational database technologies (including Zoho, Asana, and SCRIBE)Experience with data extraction, reporting, and analysis tools (Excel, STARS)Experience with project managementExperience with event planningExperience with communications strategiesDemonstrated knowledge of database design and data techniquesDemonstrated proficiency in written and oral communicationExcellent organizational skills and ability to deliver clean data promptlyAbility to work across the district departments to realize efficiencies and accomplish program goals.Ability to establish rapport with adults and adolescents and serve as a positive role model is essential.Resources Used in Performing Job Include (but are not limited to): Standard office equipment and vehicle for district travel. A district car may be used or if the employee uses his/her own vehicle mileage reimbursement is available.Physical/Cognitive Requirements:Regularly required to walk, talk, and listen. Frequently is required to stand and sit. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Light lifting at times.Environmental Conditions: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Essential Job Functions:Collect, enter, and report GUNM data for all middle and high school GEAR UP activitiesGather and maintain documentation and data on all activities and programs that provide services to GUNM students, their parents, and teachers.Regularly and reliably enter all student, staff, and family activity participation into the GUNM databaseCompile and report data for the GUNM Regional Coordinator for program evaluation and other reporting purposesCreate requisitions, manage purchase orders, and provide timely updates to program inventoriesComplete monthly and annual financial reports including requests for reimbursements, time and effort reporting, and grant matching inventories.Attend all GUNM site meetings, Zoom meetings, and regional and state trainingsMaintain documentation of data systems, standards, and proceduresEnsure integrity of data, verifying information regarding data quality and data completionProduce timely reports as requested by the GUNM administrationAssist with Federal and State reporting of school district data including exporting and uploading to external systemsSupport in the planning and implementation of many different GUNM events including, but not limited to, college visits, tutorial sessions, field trips, ceremonies, and student engagement opportunities.Perform other relevant duties that support the mission and vision of GUNM, including assisting the District Coordinator with administrative work.Personal Accountability:Demonstrates reliability as evidenced by attendance records and punctuality.Properly notifies supervisor and/or designee of absences or tardiness.Begins and completes work within the allotted time.Consistently appears in attire appropriate to the work environment.Demonstrates skill in the use of equipment including its capabilities, limitations and appropriate/special application,Protects the District's resources through appropriate and careful use of supplies and equipment.Utilizes appropriate body mechanics to aid in the prevention of muscle strain/injury.EMPLOYMENT: Upon an offer of employment, pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1968, pass a background check and provide necessary documentation qualifications.
