Lead DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and operations strategy. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports rapid development and deployment cycles. This role is crucial for streamlining our development processes, enhancing system performance, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. You will play a key role in shaping our technical roadmap and ensuring the robustness of our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) focusing on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
• Champion DevOps best practices and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of leading initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex systems in a remote environment.
