In addition to 30 regional clinics, we offer a number of progressive specialty services. St. Vincent even has a special "hospital within a hospital" just for children, St. Vincent Children's Hospital.Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.Utility Area Duties and Responsibilities:Retrieves patient trays and service ware following meal service according to established procedures.Operates dishwashing equipment and performs dishwashing duties to maintain a clean, sanitary, and efficient food service environment.Empties waste receptacles and maintains clean work, dining, and service areas in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g. dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels)Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods).Skills:Active ListeningCoordinating tasks with othersGuest focusedCommunicates clearlyAttention to detailQualifications:Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
