Operations Associate

Process monetary and non-monetary tasks and transactions, including account maintenance, verification, reconciliations, complex account transactions, and exception-item resolution Collect, verify, maintain, and input data Analyze information and make processing decisions using established procedures and guidelines Support monetary and non-monetary transactions requiring reconciliation Provide support to internal and external customers Cross-train on other team duties and provide coverage as needed Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls Focus on risk and fraud mitigation Uphold service-level standards Assist with new employee training and onboarding Prepare reports and provide information to authorized persons Provide guidance to employees on operational policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Associate's Degree preferred Professional and/or customer service experience preferred Ability to follow procedures and interrogate data required Basic organizational skills required Good written and oral communication skills required Accounting and computer skills preferred Ability to deliver high-quality work in a friendly, fast-paced environment Ability and willingness to learn new skills Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. NBT Bank is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Ability to remain stationary 75% or more of the time Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 lbs Core Competencies Demonstrates strong abilities in processing monetary and non-monetary transactions, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service.
