Assistant Director of Nursing - Staff Development

Overview We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing – Staff Development to join our team in Manhattan, NY. This role is ideal for a nursing professional who is passionate about staff education, clinical excellence, and enhancing the quality of resident care in a long-term care environment. Responsibilities Lead and deliver clinical education and training for nursing staff, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH and facility standards Assess and enhance staff competencies through coaching, mentoring, audits, and evaluations Support quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance Develop and track staff development programs on topics such as infection control, body mechanics, emergency preparedness, and OSHA standards Lead onboarding orientations and ongoing professional development opportunities Collaborate with facility leadership to improve patient care outcomes Conduct audits and assessments to ensure high standards of care Maintain training records and evaluate program outcomes Qualifications Current New York State RN license in good standing Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nurse Educator or in clinical staff development (long-term care preferred) Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills Ability to create and deliver engaging educational programs CPR certification required (CPR trainer certification preferred) Details Salary Range: $130,000–$140,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications Location: Manhattan, NY Employment type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr Admiral Staffing Inc.
