Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery team. This role requires high-risk labor & delivery expertise within a Level 1 Trauma Center to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care.
  
  
• 
  Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and legal standards.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with established standards of care.
  
  
• 
  Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in coordination with physicians and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
  
  
• 
  Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, supporting shared governance and quality enhancement.
  
  
• 
  Apply clinical expertise to support other units and departments, ensuring continuity of care across the patients longitudinal plan.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Illinois Nursing License.
  
  
• 
  Possess valid CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
  
  
• 
  Graduate from an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate high-risk labor & delivery experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  
  
• 
  Strong critical thinking skills and commitment to patient safety and experience.
