Responsibilities Overall management of the Credit Department, including development and improvement of operational goals. Staffing, training, and development of department staff. Administrator and enforcer of the company credit policy. Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude, and follow dress code. Set up customer accounts in the PeopleSoft computer system. Analyze credit applications for credit worthiness. Approve customer credit terms for the branch and maintain customer credit files. Oversee problem accounts to insure collection activity is consistent with credit policy and that collections are made timely and within credit terms. Explain corporate credit policy to all sales representatives and obtain their written acknowledgement. Prepare and manage the monthly credit call process and produce an actual and potential bad‑debt report. Enforce credit policy matters such as late DSR collection deductions and bad‑debt charge‑backs. Manage the collection of previously written‑off accounts. Ensure correct sales tax rates are maintained in the branch mainframe system. Qualifications Ability to write reports, correspondence, and communications, and effectively present information in written and/or verbal format. Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments, and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities, and materials. Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit/Collections or related field. Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint applications. Previous management experience preferred. Valid Texas driver’s license required for driving to perform company business. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related industry.
