About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Med/Surg RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical - Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in relevant specialty License: Active VA / Compact License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Prior travel experience required - Charge experience preferred Description: New position requested. This role involves working in a Surgical Med/Surg unit. Charge responsibility may be required, and appropriate pay differential and training will be provided. Block schedules are no longer accommodated. The RN will be expected to work at least one major holiday, which includes Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Years Day. Assignments will end on Saturdays. Two to three weekends per month will be required based on unit needs. Limited requests time off will be offered. Client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census changes. All team members are expected to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires. Float requirement is not applicable.
