Nurse Practitioner

Location: Germantown & Silver Spring, MD Job Type: Full-Time, On-site Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including cranial nerve exams, motor/sensory assessments, and mental status testing for patients with conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and dementia. Order and interpret specialized diagnostic tests, including MRI/CT imaging, EEGs, and EMGs, to develop and adjust individualized treatment protocols. Perform or assist in neurology-specific procedures, including Botox injections for chronic migraines, trigger point injections, and lumbar punctures. Coordinate and conduct hospital rounds for acute neurological admissions and manage the transition of care for patients moving to outpatient follow-up. Prescribe and monitor complex pharmacological regimens, including specialized infusions and anti-epileptic medications. Act as a clinical liaison between the outpatient clinic and affiliated inpatient facilities to ensure a seamless continuum of care. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and provide patient education regarding chronic disease management and lifestyle modifications. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support patient needs during nights or weekends. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited PA/NP program (required. Active state PA/ NP license and board certification required. Prior experience in neurology is preferred, though candidates with strong internal medicine or emergency room backgrounds will be considered.
