Surgical Coordinator

Job Description Job Description · Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, surgeons, and operating facilities. · Accurately schedule, pre-screen and pre-register patients for practice. · Coordinate surgical procedures with physician/s, patients, and surgical facilities. · Maintain and manage surgical schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. · Explains the outpatient registration process to the patient during scheduling encounters. · Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits for surgical services. Follow all established protocols for necessary authorizations. Obtains pre- authorizations for procedures. ·Track surgical authorizations and collaborate with the authorization team to ensure compliance. ·Communicate surgical instructions, preparation details, and post-op requirements to patients. ·Schedule or call back patients and create new appointments as applicable and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays and escalate issues as needed. ·Coordinate with the hospital or surgical center to schedule procedures. · Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by management. \nCompany Description We specialize in providing innovative spine surgeries and treatment solutions for our patients.
