RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST I

Summary The Research Administration Specialist I is responsible for delivering a range of administrative specialist support services to the Research Division. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day administrative operations, learning about basic grant-level proposals, and handling administrative duties related to department chairs, department leaders, and program activities within the division. This position serves as the first level in the Research Administration career path and is vital for ensuring the efficient operation of the division and maintaining a professional work environment. Works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the division. Learn about basic grant-level proposals. Handle administrative duties related to department chairs and leaders. Support department program activities. Ensure efficient operation of the division. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of administrative support experience; or Associate's Degree with at least 3 years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year of experience. Moderate knowledge and understanding of Symplr Contracts software and contract processes including MTAs, NDAs, vendors, and other frequent contract submissions. Preferred experience in a healthcare, research, and/or academic setting. Salary Range Salary ranges represent the expected base pay range for the role.
